MEET OUR TEAM
Rita started Specialized Wound Management (SWM) 24 years ago due to a deep passion in wanting to make a difference in wound care. In 2010, she launched another division of SWM called MD Advanced, providing foot care services.
​
Rita proudly continues her passion as the Executive Director of Operations for both Specialized Wound Management and MD Advanced in both Missouri and Illinois.

Amy earned her Master's of Science in Nursing and Nurse Practitioner certification from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, following her undergraduate studies at Barnes-Jewish College Goldfarb School of Nursing.

She is a Certified Wound Specialist, with the American Board of Wound Management, since 2006.
​
Amy joined SWM in 2004 and has served as the Director of Clinical Operations since 2006. In this role, she continues to provide direct patient care while overseeing and supporting Nurse Practitioners across Illinois and Missouri.

Amy earned her Bachelor's of Science Degree in Nursing from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville in 2002 after first completing her Associates Degree in Nursing at Lewis and Clark Community College in 2000. She has 25 years of nursing experience, 18 of which have been in long-term care.
Amy earned her Wound Care Certification in order to educate staff and collaborate with others in the field. Since joining SWM in 2023, she has worked and served as a Liasson to enhance the wound care programs of our partners and provide meaningful education to direct care staff in order to promote good healing outcomes, as well as a focus on prevention.

Nicole earned her Bachelor's of Science in 2000 and Master's of Science in Adult Nurse Practitioner at University of Missouri-St. Louis in 2005. She received her Certified Wound Specialist-Board Certification in 2012.

Nicole joined Specialized Wound Management in September of 2005, and has been dedicated to providing compassionate and evidence-based care to her patients for 20 years. Nicole continues her practice with SWM, serving in both Illinois and Missouri.

Sarah Berra is a certified Adult Nurse Practitioner for Specialized Wound Management and MD Advanced Foot Care. She has been working with SWM for 16 years. Sarah enjoys providing care to her patients with these specialized conditions.

When Sarah is not working, she enjoys volunteering at her children's school and running long distance.

Linda Boulware is a dedicated Nurse Practitioner and has been with Specialized Wound Management since 2021. Following the completion of her Registered Nurse licensure in 2011, Linda earned her Master's of Science in Nursing and Family Nurse Practitioner certification from Chamberlain University-St. Louis in 2019.

With a career spanning nearly two decades, Linda has advanced through the nursing profession from Certified Nursing Assistant to Registered Nurse. Her extensive clinical background and commitment to quality patient outcomes reflect her passion for delivering compassionate, evidence-based care to improve healing and quality of life for her patients.

Morgan Boudreau is an Adult-Gerontology Acute Nurse Practitioner with over a year of dedicated wound care experience. She received her Master's Degree from Maryville University, where she worked closely with older adult patients and developed a passion for helping individuals heal and regain quality of life.​ Drawn to wound care for its hands-on nature and the ability to see measurable results, Morgan finds great fulfillment in helping her patients progress through their healing journeys.

Outside of work, Morgan enjoys spending time, preferably outside at the park, with her husband and their toddler or on a family vacation.

Julie earned her Master's of Science in Nursing and Nurse Practitioner certification specializing in adult care from the University of Missouri-St. Louis.

She also completed her DNP in 2020 from the University of Missouri St. Louis and started working with Specialized Wound Management in 2012. July spent 8 years previously working in long-term care. In this role, she continues to provide direct patient care, specializing in primary care, as well as wound care and podiatry.
​
Julie also teaches as an adjunct faculty at Maryville University since 2014.

Melanie joined Specialized Wound Management in August of 2018 and became a Certified Wound Specialist. In this role, she continues to practice in both Illinois and Missouri.

At SWM, Carly brings her strong clinical background and compassionate approach to patient care, focusing on comprehensive wound management services to support optimal healing and patient outcomes.

Latania is an adult gerontology nurse practitioner with a background in acute and long-term care and rehabilitation. Latina received her BSN and MSN at Chamberlain University before continuing on to obtain her Post-Master's of Science in Nursing as a Nurse Practitioner from Goldfarb School of Nursing.

Latania decided she wanted to become a nurse in high school and immediately began pursing a CNA certification. Afterwards, she went to a vocational school for her LPN license, and it was during this time when she became passionate about wound healing.
​
When away from work, Latania enjoys family time, traveling, and movies.
